of a joint venture called Tinkerblades.com with the goal of producing
custom-quality swords at production prices. This venture failed,
but inspired Gus to become a fine sword-maker in his own right.
Gus uses advanced machine tools to to the rough-work on his swords and

Located in Seattle the academy teaches renaissance
fencing methods. Cecil Longino teaches the use of the rapier
based on the writings of Saviolo and Nathan Barnett teaches the use of
the backsword based on the writings of George Silver. Classes are
weds. nights at 7pm and Saturday at 1pm. At some point they
intend to introduce classes in the use of the Longsword as well.
