| What is this thing and what caliber might it be? I can't see it being very effective unless jammed right up against a perp's head or heart. |

I've got a funny feeling about this.... (btw, this is not the first I've heard of this, either)...
A Medicare-prescribed handgun? For the elderly? That looks like an inhaler?
Something about this just screams "Urban Legend in the making" to me...
In other words... I think this is fake. It's somebody's idea of a joke, or they're trying to make some kind of point. And the media is running with it.
And a lot of folks are going to be looking rather foolish when all is said and done... _________________ David K. Wilson, Jr., Laird of Glencoe

On a similar note.
Dureing WW2 a glove was produced that had a single shot barrel attatched to the back of the glove. There was a plunger sticking out in front so the CB equipment operator just Punched the enemy soldier and the gun would discharge. _________________ "Do not suffer yourselves to be wheedled out of your liberty by any pretences of politeness, delicacy or decency.

| I remember that item, Arik. I believe that it was developed by the British SOE for use by its agents behind German lines. It was one of the things that led to my comment about having to place the so-called "prescription gun" in actual contact with the person whom you intend to shoot. |
