Folders Models
I
have had to
re-evaluate my pricing- until further notice folders will not be
available for custom order
When I
first launched into
folders in a big way in late winter 2006 I
produced a LOT of models and variations, some with Ti bolsters or wood
or other materials for grip inserts. Since then I have refocused
my efforts and trimmed-down the model line and options
significatly. Some of these early prototypes will eventually be
developed as models, but for now these are the ones that I am
making. About the only options at this time is whether the clip
will be set-up for tip-up or tip-down carry on some models and the
blade steel as specified in the description. Addirtionally the
grip may be stipled (as seen on the TFDS below) for enhanced grip in
adverse conditions at the users option. Knives will be provided
in Ti/G10 half-frame consruction in black G10 unless otherwise
specified in the description
The
BWTF
Besh Wedge (tm) Eccentric Chisel-Point Tactical
Folder
This
chisel-ground
blade has a unique point configuration pioneered by Canadian
knife-maker Brent Beshara that
allows for exceptional
penetration when thrusting. The forward curved blade will
draw the blade deeper into the cut when slashing. The curve and
the angle of the handle also brings the point in-line to support
thrusting either in the over-hand or ice-pick grips. The handle
is shaped so that even without texturing it has excellent grip for most
people's hands even when wet. Knives feature an
ambidextrous thumb-stud and new slimmer clip that is placed for tip-up
carry. The 3-1/4 inch blade is available in 52100 or CPM3V steel
and featires a slightly convex chisel grind for maximum strength and
cutting power.
This is the knife that I have selected as my own EDC!

The
PTF
Practical Tactical Folder
Some times a point is useful and let's face it- some times the need for
general utility far outweighs the need for the 'best' blade profile for
self-defense. For general all-around use it's hard to beat a
drop-point blade. The chisel-ground drop-point blade of the
Practical Tactical offers a compromise between utility and defensive
performance in the same comforatble and secure frame used by the
BWTF. The blade is chisel ground and can be had in
52100 or CPM3V blade steels. The clip can be made for either
tip-up or tip-down carry at the purchasers option when ordering.
Suitable for
EDC, hunting and camping.

The
TSF
Tactical Sax Folder
This folder is based on an ancient hand-sax pattern used throughout
continental Western Europe during the Viking age. This actually
started as a joke when my apprentice challenged me to make a 'Tactical
Sax' and I decided to go one better by making it a folder.
Curiously I
discovered that this ancient pattern works very well as a folder and is
an excellent feild and utility knife! The flared grip provides
surprisingly good control and retention. The chisel-ground blade
is
available in CPM3V. The clip has been moved above the hinge and
the
knife rides deeper in the pocket as a result. The clip is now
secured
by two screws rather than being secured by the pivot screw.

The Tactical Folding Death-Spatula*
*Don't blame me- I didn't name it!
Model temporarily withdrawn for
further developement after testing- inquire as to status if you are
interested.
Despite it's odd looks (and tongue-in-cheek name) this is a carefully
designed, efficient and serious folding fighter. On seeing this
knife for the first time my wife immediately dubbed it the 'folding
Death Spatula.' I was so tickled with this name that I told
people and before I knew the name had stuck. Weird as it looks,
every part has a purpose.
The TFDS modified chisel-point developed from the 'Besh Wedge' (tm)
point allows exceptional penetration and produces a wound track 1-1/2
inches wide in the thrust. The forward curve draws the knife
deeper into the
cut. The angles of the handle bring the point into line perfectly
in either over-or under-hand thrusts. The expanded butt covers
the sharpened back-edge and provides a well-shaped striking
surface. The clip is positioned for tip-up carry and the example
shown has stipled panels for improved grip in adverse conditions.
The blade is available in CPM3V.
