This dagger is in the style of daggers commonly referred to as 'Cinquedia.'  These very broad-bladed daggers were popular in the Mediteranian region of Europe in the early part of the 16th C.  Characterised by an extremely broad blade that tapers sharply to the point and features multiple fullers on the faces of the blade (though a few examples do feature a plain blade with a pronounced median ridge.)

Daggegr in the style of baselards of the 15th-15th C. AD.  Blade is mono-tempered 5160 spring steel approx mid-fifties HRc.  Handle is hardwood (unknown Type.)  Scales are secured to the full-profile tang by 9 riveted 3/32 inch brass pins.

The blade is made from Red Troll Forge pattern-welded steel- (1085/5160/15n20).  The steel was forged to shape for this blade by me.  Handle is Cocobolo carved on the face with a Norse Chain-knot.  Fittings are bronze.
